Research

The Emergency Medicine Research program covers a wide range of topics related to emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. The program is particularly strong in the areas of medical education, quality improvement, knowledge translation, simulation and health services research. Clinical research is conducted primarily within the Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph’s Hospital groups, as well as at the Niagara and Waterloo regional campuses. The program is a leader in medical education, with several faculty members also holding a position as a member or scientist with the McMaster Education Research, Innovation and Theory (MERIT) Program. Education research focused on both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
